Event takes place over Labor Day weekend

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The high school football season kicks off next week. Monday, the Indianapolis Colts held a press conference to announce they will play host to the Horseshoe Classic at Lucas Oil Stadium coming up on September 5.
The classic will showcase some the area’s best high school football talent. The teams taking part in the Labor Day weekend event include Zionsville, Noblesville, Cathedral, Columbus North, Bloomington North, Pike and Southport. St. Xavier out of Ohio is also participating.
There are four games in all and two of those games will air on MyINDY-TV .
The Colts are excited for the big day.
“It’s exciting to have this inaugural classic on September the 5th because next year we plan on having several games here in the stadium. These folks…represent some of the finest talent in the state of Indiana and the state of Ohio. Our goal is to eventually bring in teams from outside of Indiana,” said Colts Senior Vice President of Sales Director Tom Zupancic.
Below is a list of the games:
Horseshoe Classic: Saturday, Sept 5th
Game 1: Zionsville vs. Noblesville, 11:00 a.m.
Game 2: Cathedral vs. St. Xavier (Ohio) at 1:45 p.m. (MyINDY-TV)
Game 3: Columbus North vs. Bloomington North at 4:30 p.m. (MyINDY-TV)
Game 4: Pike vs. Southport 7:15 p.m.
